Hayden Leslie Panettiere, born August 21, 1989, is an actress and singer born in Palisades, New York. She began acting at a young age, after leaving school to be home-schooled and ceased a higher education in favour of an acting career but she has stated that she may temporarily leave acting to pursue a higher education later in her career.

Panettiere began most of her acting career in Television Commercials. At the age of 4 she was cast in the soap opera "One Life To Live" which she played (the third incarnation) of Sarah Roberts from 1994 until 1997 when she left the series. She was then more known for her role in the TV drama "Guiding Light" as Elizabeth Spaulding from 1996 until 2000 which (until Heroes) was arguably her most well known role.

Since then she has appeared in several television shows such as Law And Order: Special Victims Unit and Malcolm In The Middle and even major feature films such as Racing Stripes and Raising Helen. Now in Heroes she is one of the most recognised people in the cast. Her role as the cheerleader gained a lot of attention and remains part of a large fan-base .

Hayden Panettiere starred in the independent film The Architect opposite Isabella Rossellini. She co-starred in the film Shanghai Kiss, and as the lead in Bring it On: All or Nothing as Britney Allan a Cheerleader with 1st the Pacific Vista Pirates and 2nd the Cranshaw Heights Warriors . Training rigorously and executing her own stunts, she dazzled audiences in her role as a competitive ice skater in Ice Princess.

Her other film credits include Raising Helen, Message In a Bottle with Kevin Costner, The Object of My Affection with Jennifer Aniston and The Affair of the Necklace with Hilary Swank.

She recently starred in Scream 4 as Kirby Reed.

Singing career[]

Panettiere has recently began a career in singing, she released her debut single 'Wake Up Call' in December 2008 although she has sang songs for compilations and soundtracks such as DisneyMania and the soundtracks for movies like Tiger Cruise and Ice Princess. Her most successful song from these is called I Still Believe which was for the Cinderella III: A Twist In Time soundtrack and was also featured on a DisneyMania album. There is a music video for the song.
