In 1989, Hana survive a suicide attack when her bus crash off a cliff. She is hospitalized for at least six months, and miss the funeral of her mother and grandmother. After recovering in 1990, she vow to live up to her family's legacy. In 1997, Hana attempts to enlist in the Israeli Army as a paratrooper. Despite her skill, her request is denied by the IDF enlisting officer because of "grave concern about [her] heart". Because her "judgment cannot be trusted", she take an intelligence position with Mossad, in which she analyze, plan attack, and plot strategies.
