Acting Career[]

Early Life and Career Choices Dania Ramirez was born in Santo Domingo in 1979. From an early age, Dania wanted to be an actress. She would re-enact scenes from Spanish soap operas for her family and friends. At the age of fifteen, Dania, whom was working at a convenience store in New York, was discovered by a modeling agency and later cast in a soda commercial, her first gig. After that commercial, Dania became even more interested in acting and wanted to pursue a career in the field. She went on to study at the Actor's Workshop in New York City. Dania later graduated from Montclair State University in New Jersey during the year 1999. While attending Montclair, Dania's volleyball talents landed her in the top five in career digs and other specified areas. To further her career, Dania moved to Los Angeles, where she apparently completed her goal. Other than Heroes, Dania Ramírez has starred in several television series. She was in an episode of Officers on Duty, some episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and five episodes of The Sopranos as Blanca.

Dania Ramírez starred in many films including Fat Albert, The Fifth Commandment, Illegal Tender and the TV movie Romy and Michele: In the Beginning. Recently, Dania starred in the 2008 movie "Quarantine", as well in the movie X-men 3: Last stand.

  • Dania had a minor role in the Final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Caridad, and she has been in several music videos including Santana's "Into the Night" where she appears dancing and laughing with some of the people in the video.
